Naturally Glug does not make sparkling wines so we search around and buy product from much larger companies and then we dress them up. We are pretty fussy as we have a lot of experience in the sparkling wine area and have a keen sense of value, so we happily recommend this wine.

We named it after a bloke who arrived in Sydney in 1790, became a farmer and planted one acre of vines which he called - this is true - 'The Vineyard'. Well why not, because that's what it was and he could swap notes with the Governor who had the only other plot of three acres out at Parramatta.

Recently tried at an Australia day function and I found 'The Vineyard' sparkling wine perfectly acceptable.
