This Karrawirra Shiraz is the core around which we form the range of our Barossa wines so it is really the heart and soul of what we do.

This is the wine to buy for all customers wanting a really good full flavoured Barossa which is true to the district. Thus this wine takes up much of our attention each vintage.

All the small parcels, the grenache and mataro blends, the single vineyard wines and many others which we keep separate evolve after we have made our minds up about how we will blend the Karrawirra. We favour a fruit source from the northern Barossa so much of the fruit for this Karrawirra is from the vineyard of Andy Kalleske from which we take 10 tonnes each vintage.

The blend is 93% Shiraz, 6% Mataro and 1% Petit Verdot and the wine was made at the Teusner winery in the Barossa Valley.
