This wine is sourced from company vineyards that surround the winery and are about a kilometre south of the central Barossa town of Nuriootpa.

Rolf and his sister Christa, are two of the most important winemakers in the Barossa. You could argue that the definitive Barossa wine is not shiraz but rather a blend of shiraz with grenache, so it seems appropriate that they have named this wine after themselves.

Small Fry Barossa Valley Grenache Shiraz Mataro 2006
Region:Barossa Valley, SA
Winemaker: Wayne Ahrens
A blend of 60% grenache, 35% shiraz and 5% mataro. The grenache was sourced from Ken Schliebs central and quite famous block of vines and came from his 80-90 year old bush vines. The shiraz is from the family property farmed by Wayne’s brother at Vine Vale in a small area called Rocky Gully.
