In many ways serving what you do well, without fuss or bother, sums up the wines of McLaren Vale. They are what they are and I for one cannot understand the current harping about the wines being too bold and alcoholic and not being food friendly. Really it’s pretty simple in life; if you do not think the taste is what you want then do not buy them, but do not then pontificate by making your personal concerns seem relevant.

Trennert was a new winery venture in the late 1960s and lasted for too short a time. Team Glug decided to resurrect the brand, and bring it back to life with the best McLaren Vale wines we can find. As openers we are very pleased with this wine which we found at the McLaren Vintners winery. It is full, rich and bold; just as we like them.
