Goes to the Core of Barossa Flavour
Goat Square Barossa Valley Shiraz 2009
Region: Barossa Valley, SA
This shiraz goes straight to the core of what the Barossa Valley is about; deep bright colours; ripe inviting flavours; and complex, rich flavours full of body but which are compact and tight. We of course like this style of wine and find we achieve it most often with wines from the Northern half of the Barossa, basically with fruit grown north of the town of Nuriootpa.
The Goat was almost the first wine we developed when we came to the Barossa in 2004 and is named after the town centre of Tanunda, Goat Square, which was the weekend meeting place for families to trade goods pre 1900.
If you are new to the Glug range and wonder what it all means then start your tasting exploration with the Goat. Glug though is not all about full flavoured warm climate wines and our customers will see many other regions appearing in the years ahead.
