Oh Dear! A Wine for the Times
Barossa Valley Wine Supply 'Measure of Austerity' Barossa Valley Shiraz 2007

Region: Barossa Valley, SA
This shiraz was placed in new French oak in a time of great hope. As the numbers in Europe and elsewhere tumbled so did our spirits. We are reminded of the little business which thrived selling little rays of sunshine until a dark cloud began to cover the sky and the business went under. A Measure of Austerity had arrived.

It is hard to think of a more perfect wine from the Barossa Valley but even that does not raise our hopes. To lower costs we imported cheap though fancy Chinese glass and were forced to bottle the wine unfiltered. An equal partner to the recent Industrial Supply and we note a rather alarming 15.3% alcohol.

It will readily last till the blue skies appear again.
