PPB Bin 60 Langhorne Creek Shiraz 2016
Region: Langhorne Creek, SA
Fresh sets of eyes see things differently. Wolf Blass found fruit he liked at Langhorne Creek in South Australia and in the 1970s won three Jimmy Watson trophies in succession. The wines sold as his famous Black Label’s.
Other large companies took notice and plantings took off, yet the fruit was then used in multi-district big name blends, so recognition of the regions even today is low.
This means it is a good place to shop for special parcels of wine. This PPB Bin 60 Shiraz, Benjamin knew was too good to blend into our Burgoyne and Light and Finniss wines, so he decided to release it as part of our PPB or Premium Private Bin series.
These come and go quickly but it is the best way to preserve small differences. Can be drunk now though will keep for up to five years.
