A Bunny From Down On The Farm
Restless Farm 'The Bunny' McLaren Vale Shiraz 2016
Region: McLaren Vale, SA
The Restless Farm reds bring to the table the healthy goodness of the fruit of the vine with minimal adornment. Rather like a fresh food movement or better a fresh, wine movement; being a revival of a bright, fruit driven, red styles, as seen in a carafe of wine drawn from the barrel. Or as the winemaker says; that’s the way it’s made down on the Restless Farm.
They are sourced from South Australian classical regions and for the record the first was the Padthaway Goat Shiraz from 2008. We believe the Restless style will resonate with many who feel that the full flavour potential of reds is damped down by fussy winemaking.
Smart and sophisticated are the Restless Farm wines and if we use one word to describe them they are ‘bright’. Bright is a term used in the tasting of tea where it is used to describe ‘the lifted taste that accentuates the good flavours of freshness’.
The Bunny was made with the cooperation of winemakers at the McLaren Vintners winery in McLaren Vale.
