Karrawirra Barossa Valley Semillon 2017
Region: Barossa Valley
Wonderful wine which again reminds us that not all whites should be sourced from cool regions. Semillon is a variety that can change colours making distinctive styles as far apart as the Hunter Valley, Margaret River and the Barossa Valley.
The Barossa is a warm region so as expected the wine is flavoured plus has an unusual complexity which if it was repeated every vintage would make them world famous.
I have drunk many great Barossa Semillons and when they are like this Karrawirra, they are simply the best. We are thrilled with this wine and wished we could do this every year.
The is so good it has been elevated to the Karrawirra brand. Of this quality we ended up with one barrel of 30 cases.
