Six Bottles-- From the Limestone Coast
Kincraig Limestone Coast Cabernet Sauvignon 2015
I must praise the winemakers for this Kincraig Cabernet triumph. This great Cabernet captures the maritime weather of the Limestone Coast. The Limestone Coast is a low lying coastal flat or plain about 100 kilometres in width. With only gentle rises the cooling winds of the Great Southern Ocean blow well inland, reaching even the northern boundary of this region. Included within the Limestone Coast are, Coonawarra, Padthaway, Bordertown, Robe-Mount Benson, and Wrattonbully. Coonawarra was planted in the 1890s and then a long gap till the plantings at Padthaway beginning in 1964. We like the flavours produced from the cooling ocean balancing with the inland heat, with the type region being Coonawarra, and with many barely known districts, prices are pushed well under our buying point. This makes well selected wines from the Limestone Coast great bargains.

Six Bottles - Full Strength and Warmth
Glug ‘Black Rider’ Barossa Valley Shiraz Durif 2015
Benjamin can take years to evolve an idea into the final brand. He has been working on blends of Shiraz and Durif for over a decade and the first release was the Brutus from the 2008 vintage to be followed almost every vintage since. Other blends to explore different taste variations are possible and years ago he told me he would call the next brand ‘The black rider’ when he got close. For the big tasting at the end of February he released a small quantity of this new wine to gauge customer responses. It is this wine which I am offering but as the new label is not ready is called a Glug wine. It throttles back a bit on the Durif so I see a sweeter taste. Strong as you want your Barossa reds to be so this blend has long term cellaring potential.

Contains 6 bottles of each of the following wines:-
