Albion Hills Langhorne Creek Cabernet Sauvignon 2013
Both Cabernet and Shiraz develop interesting flavours in the premium regions of the Mount Lofty Ranges. We are supporters of those from Langhorne Creek because the flavours are as good as those from the more recognised of the Barossa Valley and McLaren Vale but also because they can be found at a cheaper price.
To repeat; on the western or coastal side of the Mount Lofty Ranges are the premium regions of Adelaide, Reynella and McLaren Vale and these are matched on the eastern side by the Barossa Valley, Eden Valley, Langhorne Creek and Currency Creek.
If you love the thrilling tastes of the Barossa valley you will find Langhorne Creek reds to your liking. Long ago the new immigrant Wolf Blass shot to fame with three Langhorne Creek Jimmy Watson winners in 1973, 1974 and 1975. And still the wines are around at value prices.
