Auld & Burton McLaren Vale Cabernet Sauvignon 2014
Region: McLaren Vale, SA
‘The finest growths of Australian wines sold in their native purity’, was the advertising line used by the firm Auld and Burton in 1899 in London. Auld and Burton were London based importers, founded by two South Australians, Patrick Auld and G. Burton probably in 1862.
Auld and Burton are an important part of the rich fabric of the Australian wine trade as they continued to be large importers of Australian wines, table and fortifieds, until the 1950s, a span of 90 years.
Glug bases a lot of its brands on pioneering history. Benjamin bottled a tiny amount of good McLaren Vale Cabernet under this label as he ran out of Restless Farm labels and the Auld and Burton were printed by us. Limit of one case per order.
